I didn't intend or imagine these journals ever to be printed...

When I began creating and designing the exercises within these journals, they were to help me.

I was full of self-doubt, so lost, and so low.

These exercises were my own self-designed method to discover- and understand- my way out, and back to myself.

They ended up having much more than the intended original impact... So much so that friends wanted them too.

So I gathered them up into a sequential systematic flow, and here we are.

(Don't get me wrong - there have been countless drafts, but in essence, what began in 2021 has come a long way.)

Even after years of therapy, somehow, journalling was what transformed my mindset the most.

It was not that the therapy was useless… the therapy enabled the self-prompting, which IS the journals... but I

guess it exposed something crucial:

No matter what the situation, you know what you need, and what to do better than anyone else can tell you.

You are the expert of your own life.

And though at times that absolutely doesn’t feel true,

give yourself space and time — however that looks and is possible within your life —

you will discover it for yourself.

NLP and CBT -focussed talking therapy gave me tools,

just as experience, people, podcasts, reading, etc. will expand your mind to possibilities.

But it’s so important to always come back to yourself.

To take information, and apply it/ believe it/ use it only as much as it works for you.

And if you aren't sure or don’t know if or how it matches up to you — trial and error

will teach you more about yourself the more you are open to trialling and discovering.

THIS WORK IN TODAY'S WORLD

In today's world, we are surrounded by, bombarded with, external influence. â€‹

Be that media, influencers, advertising, everything and anything seems to be telling us what to do: 'do this', or 'eat this', or 'if you want this, do this'... that naturally, we drift away from ourselves and what we really want, or need, or like.

It comes as no surprise that coincidentally we are seeing rising depression and anxiety, especially in young individuals (I'm 30 and I consider myself in this bracket), where the sheer amount of choice and decisions can be overwhelming, coupled with any kind of pressure (societal, parental, peer), is a sure recipe for catastrophe.

Understanding yourself - what makes you feel good, what you need in your life to support you living it to the full, what you're inherently really good at, (what you're not so good at and should rather delegate), what triggers you and why, what you value, what your mission and purpose in life is - is invaluable information that creates true confidence.

It is pivotal to self-optimisation and personal growth and development.

This work is the start to living your best, most authentic and fulfilling life.
